James M. Grant, R.I.B. (Ont.)

James M. Grant, R.I.B. (Ont.), is President & CEO of Signature Risk Partners Inc., a managing general agent he co‑founded in 2006 to design and distribute specialized commercial insurance programs. He draws on over 25 years of experience across asset management, banking, and insurance to build niche products and long‑term broker relationships.

Previously, James served as Vice President at Talvest Fund Management Inc., a C$5 billion asset manager within TAL Global Asset Management, which oversaw more than C$60 billion in assets before its acquisition and integration into CIBC Asset Management in 2006. He focused on investment product development, launches, and regional sales and marketing leadership in Toronto.

Before Talvest, James helped launch Altamira International Bank in Barbados, working on all aspects of the offshore bank’s setup and concentrating on the development of an international distribution network through lawyers and accountants throughout the Caribbean.

James is a Registered Insurance Broker (Ontario) and brings a combined background in financial markets and underwriting distribution to his leadership at Signature Risk.
